What is well drilling Tricone Bit?

Well drilling tricone bit using the mud to remove unwanted cuttings that form at the bottom of the well and to cool down the drill bit.

Mill tooth tricone bits are used in soft rock formations. The protruding teeth are widely spaced to prevent getting clogged with material as they cut through the surface material.

Tungsten carbide insert (TCI) tricone bits are used for medium and hard rock formations. These bits are designed with smaller teeth, which are more closely arranged together. Drill speeds are higher when the rock face is harder and TCI can withstand the heat generated from these conditions. Mud is pumped down the drill string and out through the tricone bit to keep the bit clean from cuttings and to move these cuttings back to the surface.

What well drilling tricone bits can we provide?

DrillMore provide Mill Tooth Tricone Bits and Tungsten Carbide Insert (TCI) Tricone Bits for Well Drilling, Borehole Drilling, Oil/Gas Drilling, Construction... Big quantities of tricone bit in stock(click here), diameters various from 98.4mm to 660mm (3 7/8 to 26 inches), both mill teeth and TCI series are available.

How to choose the right tricone bits for your drilling industrial?

The lADC Code can describes a tricone bit, it tells you what the bit is steel tooth or TCI. What formations the bit is meant for, and the bearing type. These codes help you describe what type of tricone you are looking for.

lf you would like to learn more about lADC codes (click here)!

Now you can choose the tricone bit type by IADC code.

How to Order?

1. Size of the bit diameter.

2. It is better if you can send the photo of the bits you are using.

3. IADC code you require, if no IADC code, then tell us the hardness of the formation.
